The Full Story
My name is William Stevenson, and I am the owner of Atomic Fitness LLC. My journey into training began in 2010 when I started weight training and powerlifting as a freshman in high school to prepare for varsity football. Along the way, I experienced my share of injuries and saw many teammates go through similar challenges. These experiences made me realize how easily anyone—young or old—can get hurt when lifting improperly. I learned this the hard way once, by failing to warm up properly and letting my competitive drive take over

After high school, life circumstances led me into an overwhelming, mind-bending anxiety I had never known. I lived in a mental “hell,” trapped in a constant cycle of fear and stress, hoping each night that tomorrow would be different.

One day, I decided to get a gym membership at the same gym where I would eventually start working in personal training sales. I remember how, with each workout, my anxiety lessened. Over time, it disappeared altogether. The weight of lifting, the focus required, made it impossible to worry about anything else. I realized that when I was pushing my body to its physical limits, I couldn't be anxious or depressed. The gym became my sanctuary, and I knew I wanted to share that with others—teaching them how to safely use their bodies to stay strong for life.
I learned that movement is medicine—something we all intuitively understand, but don’t always prioritize. When we neglect movement, we risk long-term repercussions for both our physical and mental health.
Since then, I’ve stayed informed about the latest trends and science-backed methods for training and nutrition. This knowledge helps me not only optimize physical results for my clients but also support their mental well-being through exercise.
My Philosophy
When training my clients, I focus on building a solid foundation from the ground up. Too often, people start new workout routines—whether at boot camps or on their own—and push themselves too hard, too fast. This leads to injuries, more downtime, and frustration. I help clients avoid this cycle by providing a comprehensive training plan that fits seamlessly into their lives, ensuring they make the most of both their workouts and recovery. This approach allows them to make consistent progress without worrying about setbacks.

As a client of mine, when you commit to a 12-session package or higher, you’re not just purchasing training sessions. I’ll work with you outside of those sessions to assess your lifestyle and habits. Together, we’ll make small, manageable changes that integrate healthy practices into your daily routine. The hardest part is getting started, but once you’ve incorporated these changes, they’ll become second nature. This will not only help you achieve immediate results but will set you up for a lifetime of better health and well-being.
